About Me
Biography
I was born in Gölcük on 21.09.65. After completing my primary, secondary and high school education in İzmir, I graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1989. Obligatory service in Nevşehir Prison, I specialized in Dermatology for a while in Germany. After working as a hotel physician at Robinson Clubs and as a physician at Adana Seyhan Municipality Health Affairs Directorate, I started working as a Research Assistant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at KTU Faculty of Medicine in 1993. I worked as a Gynecology and Obstetrics Specialist in Rize Pazar for 6 years starting from 1998, and in Denizli State Hospital until November 2015. I still continue to work at Denizli Private Odak Hospital.
During my residency, I worked many times abroad in various Private Hospitals and University Clinics after graduation (Aachen University, Tages Klinik Altonaer Hamburg, Eilenriede Klinik Hannover, Marienhöhe Klinik Würselen). Since 2005, I have focused my studies on the field of Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology). In 2009, I met Prof. Dr. Klaus Goeschen, who is one of the most important names of Pelvic Floor Surgery in the world and especially in Europe. Since that day, there have been radical changes in my professional life, in my approach and practice to such patients. We have successfully performed all operations in this area on different patients in Germany and Turkey.
While previously, the following comments were made for patients of all age groups: "This is all we can do!, These patients are already dissatisfied, they are old, they have many additional diseases, there is no need for surgery!, Come again when you get older!, You are too old, you cannot have the surgery!", Let's take the uterus, it doesn't function anymore" ; now, we have achieved 95-98% success anatomically, 70-95% success functionally and patient satisfaction of over 95% with the Goeschen/Çalışkan methods, which includes some applications applied for the first time in the world, upon the request of the patient. We published our operations with the "highest success" and "lowest complication" average rates in the literature.
In 2013, I received the ECERPS (European Advanced Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Center) certificate, which expresses the ability to manage, diagnose and operatively treat all pelvic floor operations.
Accurate diagnosis, perfect surgery, special tools some of which were developed by us, and proven experience with more than 5000 patients lie on the foundation of high and sustainable success. I have perfect command of German and good command of English. I am married and have two children.
